ALE Mailing List: ale@ale.org
It seems the IP address block I got from Comcast has been a problem one that is listed in spamhous.
So…..
if your not getting ALE mail it’s because the ALE mail server is being blacklisted by IP address. I’ve put in the request that this is a clean machine but that will take time to rattle through the interwebs,
The migration is mostly working. The mailman list server is still being a monster, though.
The mail ALE list is up. The ale-jobs and ale-study are still being tested.
I have a prior engagement out of town and have to stop swearing at mailman now.
Really now. Missed the ride. Gotta go drive somewhere.

What is Linux?
GNU/Linux is a free and open source software operating system for computers. It is commonly used instead of commercial Microsoft or Apple products There are very capable desktop and server versions of Linux all freely available. An InstallFest is a public outreach effort by ALE volunteers.
The ALE mailing list software is currently experiencing a problem delivering messages to multiple people, which has resulted in it blocking multiple subscribers for excessive bounces to their email accounts. The problem’s currently being investigated. If you’ve noticed that you haven’t received any email from the ALE list recently but are still interested in receiving mail from the list, please log in to the list subscription settings page at http://mail.ale.org/mailman/options/ale (yes, it’s HTTP and not HTTPS, and the password you use for the ALE mailing list should definitely NOT be similar to any other passwords you use anywhere else; Mailman stores them all in plain text so that it can send it back to you if you forget, and by default sends a monthly reminder email of your password) and confirm that the “Mail Delivery” option is set to “Enabled”. Thank you!
JD: This has mainly been seen with gmail, but other large email providers may also be impacted. If you aren’t on gmail and see this issue, please let one of the group organizers know.
