ALE-NE March Meeting – June 1, 2006 7:30PM – Puppy Linux
We will be showing Puppy Linux. It is a bootable linux distro that uses multi-session cd-r
magic to keep session history.
Yes Folks! There is a meeting. I know it will happen, I just didn’t get final word on what the topic is. I believe one of our longtime ALE members will talk about something interesting.
This month will feature David Chevalier from Aruba Networks.
The talk is titled: Unplugging the Enterprise – Implementing Secured Wireless Networks
Aruba Networks builds high performance secure wireless LANs for demanding enterprises.

Yes! Same speaker for both meetings this month.
For the March, 2006 meeting Mr. Dennis Boylan will be
presenting his quasi-annual “State of the TiVo address, keeping
us up to date on the latest developments and hacks for the Linux
based TiVo media technology.
Dennis is a long standing member of ALE who has been active in
supporting the ALE NE meeting since it’s inception. His knowledge
of Linux and networking is extensive and he regularly presents for
ALE meetings on a broad array of topics. His greatest “super geek
distraction, however, is the TiVo, and with 6 different TiVo
models in his home he can clearly be classified as a TiVo-holic.
DTiVo hacking demonstration
We’ll be hacking a Series 2 DTiVo to allow multi-room viewing (MRV)
and allow access via telnet and tivowebplus. We’ll also be converting
a DSR7000 into a remote viewing box.
