I can't express how wonderful Debian is on updates and stability.
Admittedly, I am not the sharpest linux person you will meet, but after
getting my Debian system running it has not given _any_ problems in the last
two years. With much brain picking from here, it serves 30+ people's email
(exim), web surfing, and archives their documents. I have setup a cron job
which checks for security updates daily and installs them during the night.
Again, no problems and I get a nice email of what has been updated.
I started with FreeBSD and still look there occasionally, but am now very
much in favor of Debian and encourage others to try it.
(as a side note Geoffrey is not a Debian fan)
