[ale] Am I out of my mind?

Kevin,
Have you checked to see if you have a CPU intensive process running on 
the server?  Just to be sure?  Seems that the network is fine if you can 
grab html, do some ftp, and get/receive email at normal speeds.  Maybe 
your Apache has some problems that create this situation.  I am no web 
master but you ought to check the server out thoroughly since you slow 
on parsing not serving.
