[ale] OT: Portable AC for computer room?

Spot Coolers (http://www.spot-coolers.com) is probably the standard in
mobile/portable/temporary cooling units.

We used one of their units vented into the attic space for quite a while at
our old office. We were renting it at the time, and purchased it when we
moved just to have in case of emergency. Worked great in the old office and
did come in handy one time when we had a failure before we had redundant
units.

They can be run to vent inside the same space they're cooling, when you need
to direct cool air at one specific unit, but the rest of the space is
already cooled, just not enough for this one unit. Usually though, you want
to have the evaporator intake and exhaust vented somewhere besides the space
the unit is running in.

Hello all!

I now this is off topic but does anyone currently use a Portable/Mobile AC
as a backup (or for full time) use?

Any brands/etc would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John Cole
