[ale] inetd.conf

[Brian J. Dowd]

/etc/xinetd which includes all the files in the directory /etc/xinetd.d
The files there can be catted and you can see the proper construction.
This is supposedly as "new and better wasy" to start services.
RedHat has online documentation FWIW.
