Interesting that this is up before the SCOTUS right now,
oral argument was yesterday.

I wonder why/how this escapes "derivative work" doctrine.
I have not yet heard/read any mention of it.

I miss the AUUG & its sorta-annual presentation from one of its
sponsors, an Atlanta IP law firm, covering a current/interesting
topic in IT/IP law and/or court cases. This might be one
of those.

An attorney told me long ago that "grey area" is what feeds lawyers.
It strikes me that creative endeavours have abundant Grey Area(s).
