Setup autofs if you want control over
* mount location
* mount options
* automatic mount access
Normal Use Scenario:
Plug in the sometimes-connected storage.
Browse to the location where you told it to mount - on access, it will
be mounted.
Browse away and wait 5min (or manually umount it), it will be
un-mounted, unplug it.
With autofs, you can set options so the OS doesn't lockup just because
some temporary storage isn't available.
