[ale] SUSE Linux and repo confusion, may be repeat but please bear

Could not get back to this thread on time sorry about that.

Here is what I am trying to understand.

I have SLES box that I have built with the SLES iso and upgraded it with
the repo server in the intranet and for most part works good.

No as an example the max level of svn aka subversion in the intranet rep is
1.54.

However I have been able to download subversion 1.8.5 as an rpm from the
web thru a search and do a rpm -ivh <subversion.1.8.5.rpm>  It works.

That required me to download the rpm manually to install.

What I would like to do is find and add a repo that maintains OpenSuse
11.SP2 packages, move it to the top of my list.  I dont mind if the repo is
owned by an individual as well.

What I am trying to do is get the idea where I can add either a SLES or an
OpenSuse repo and install packages from there as well.

How would I go about adding different repos and make them work with my SLES
VM.
