[ale] Way OT: Ice Maker question

All,
I took the ice maker out. Turns out it had 2 stuck cubes. So every
time it made a tray, the new water overflowed the tray.
This ice maker has given me issues for years, so I'm thinking of just
replacing the tray / filer part of the ice maker. It doesn't look
that expensive.
fyi: A Sears repair man told me it was $500+ to replace an ice maker.
Sounds like a racket.
