I hit major pay dirt last night. I managed to verify the serial port pin out. I disassembled the box and determined that there are only three pins in use (2, 3, and 5). Which means it uses XON/XOFF for flow control (assuming it does flow control, I will have to test it). I will create a full cable diagram over the weekend. I will also create a web page with all the info I have found so far.
I was able to verify the serial port pin out with the schematics for the box. It turns out that the box is an OEM that is brand labeled for several manufacturers, Tivax being one of them. The schematics can be found here:
