Thanks for the info about the high-security drives.
I had wondered how they did that without injuring people. See
http://www.deadondemand.com/products/enhancedhdd/ for an example of
one.
As to the heat, I have heard of people cooking their drives in
standard kitchen ovens. I did not know why it was supposed to work.
