[ale] Comcast preventing Linux on wireless router modems?

Comcast hates freedom!
As others have suggested, the likely issue is the comcast tech not knowing
what to do with a non-windbloz machine. There are likely WEP keys from the
wireless router and the knowledge was not there to set them up properly on
the PC side. You would be amazed at the simplicity and security of a $15
cat5 cable to a desktop machine.
