Job Description: 

*Design and implement new technologies in an Open Systems environment.
Applies knowledge of open systems engineering to complete small projects
or phases of larger projects. 
*Strong operational background in Linux and related software with an
emphasis on third party software for automated scheduling, performance
monitoring and source code management.
Support the administration, monitoring, backup/recovery, problem
determination and resolution (break/fix), and general technical support,
configuration and maintenance of all data center systems in coordination
with the Atlanta based Operations team. 
Strong knowledge of Open Systems and Web Hosting experience (Apache,
Tomcat, Websphere) is required. 
Support system level administrative duties to tune, troubleshoot, deploy
and maintain various Linux and UNIX (Solaris) systems. 
*Provide direction for the design, implement and support servers and
systems across the Application Service Provider environment including
the servers for web, web applications, front end, application,
transaction log, database, directory and monitoring. 
*Balance requirement from customers, internal customers and the existing
infrastructure against available resource to develop the best solutions
set to meet obligations. 
*Oracle RAC experience preferred.
Qualifications
*Experience working in a high impact environment running large
applications, with a 100% uptime requirement. 
Seven years of IT experience with 3-5 years as an engineer in an open
systems environment. 
*Bachelor's degree in Computer related discipline (or equivalent
experience). 
*Strong operational background in Linux and related software with an
emphasis on third party software for automated scheduling, performance
monitoring and source code management. 
*Apache and Tomcat experience required.
