[ale] how to hide a folder in thunderbird?

my folders are as such:

<email account>
	Inbox
	Drafts
	Sent Mail
	Spam
	Trash
	All Mail
	Starred

and are not a "sub directory" of GMail like:

<email account>
	Inbox
	Drafts
	[GMail]
		Inbox
		Trash
		All Mail
