Our group in Avaya got a 5+5 in 2001, most of us left, except for a few 
H1B types, and one ( poor soul ) with only 15 years service. the 
benefits have been going downhill ever since..
those that didn't have the time to retire went to "partner" firms, less 
benefits or NO benefits as contractors.
