[ale] SATA experience

[Philip Polstra]

I'm getting something like "bad block number 803 or (0,0,3) or cannot load
root partition".  I understand I need to compile in support for SATA to
mount a root partition, but I must be missing something simple in my kernel
config, since it doesn't seem to read it.
