Windows pre-2k cannot handle logical partitions that are non-FATxx and
non-NTFS located within an extended partition... it tells you that none
exist, and yet when you attempt to remove the extended partition, it
tells you there are logical drives within the extended partition and
that you must delete them first.  Nasty little cycle.

I haven't seen any issues with this on Win2k / XP configurations, however.
