[ale] Booting From DVDROM

Hmm, it does sound like your scsi card's bios may be interfering with
your bios. Just for grins and giggles try removing it from the system
and then see if it will boot off the optical drive.

If that doesn't fix it you might try changing the ide cable that
you're using to connect the optical drive to your motherboard. If you
have an extra 80 pin cable try that, it will be overkill but you never
know sometimes with these equipment manufacturers.

Let us know what you come up with if you're able to solve the problem.
