[ale] problems with Cendyne 32x10x40 USB CD-RW with SUSE, 9.2 and FC3

FYI - I'm running SuSE 9.2 with the 2.6.8-24.3-default, and I've had no
problems burning CDs. I burned three on my thinkpad yesterday.
