[ale] Can you point me in a good direction

You did a much better job of describing the behavior than I did.  
All of my numbers are in the list and I do find that the default numbers are 
what show up after closing and reopening the program.  I dont think it will 
be worth me going to the trouble of resetting the default values for the drop 
boxes, as you said, all of the numbers show up on the main screen when you 
highlight a contact. (last count I had over 700 contacts)
