Why not at least go with Windows XP? I hope they like
paying massive upgrade fees! Bill and Steve need some
cash! How are they going to push the daily load of
patches to these boxes? I bet they're also going to use
Outlook and Exchange. You can bet that they won't be
configured even remotely correctly. The spam will start
rolling in on the first day and only get worse. Of course,
us  taxpayers will get screwed with the costs because of
their stupidity. I hope someone got a nice new card or
house for this. Sigh....
   I also wonder who these desktops are intended for? If
it's people like secretaries, or general clerks use them
then there is absolutely no reason they need Windows
or Office. Of course, they probably didn't do any testing
or profiling of required tasks. Sigh... How come IT
seems to have a disproportionate share of idiots?
(don't be too fast with those comments by the way) :)
