I believe you should post on a PPC Linux listserv about this and also 
you might try downloading the CVS from the DRI project off of 
sourceforge.  Give compiling it a shot as it might work out.  You could 
always email one of the DRI sourceforge developers on the ATI RagePro 
project about PPC.  Ask whether it will compile for PPC.
