I use Yellow Dog on my PowerPC's.  Mine are NuBus though, so I have
different issues with video support.  I've heard that the X drivers are
cross platform.   I haven't tried Debian yet, and there is also SuSE and
Mandrake to consider.  SuSE and Mandrake are not recommended for the
NuBus PowerMacs because they require better hardware (the Nubus PPC's
only have a 601 or 603 processor), but should be fine on a newer box.
