So far I've found that it has better hardware configuration.  For 
example, I hooked my usb scanner to it and it was properly recognized 
and configured.  On 8.2, the same scanner was properly recognized, but 
configured as scsi, thus I had to manually change the config file.

It comes with Open Office 1.1, and postgresql 7.3.4 both newer versions 
than what's on 8.2.  Along those same lines, most everything will be 
later versions.

That's about all I've got thus far as I've only installed it on my laptop.
