A Fairfax County, Virginia judge granted an order to have 10 voting
machines examined after reports they were malfunctioning on Election Day.
Initially, questions were raised about how the ten machines at nine polling
places failed and could not be repaired at the polling places and were
moved - in potential violation of voting regulations. Additionally, voters
in three precincts reported that when they attempted to vote for a
candidate, the machines initially displayed an "x" next to the name but
then, after a few seconds, the "x" disappeared... (more)
