i am _very_ limited here, but i had this gnu/linux bittorrent link a friend
sent.

http://www.methylblue.com/linux/bittorrent_HOWTO.php/

it mentions a SuSE (or is it SUSE now?) apt command:
#apt-get install python Python-wxGTK

debian people do:
apt-cache search bittorrent
to see if you have it available.

download the source distrubution and look at the README.txt for command line
interfaces information if you are not running Windows (hope you aren't).

again, i am running on limited info here.
