I saw a post for a bunch of older PC' running linux. There are not the
greatest hardware on the planet, but at $150-$180, they make OK
firewalls, cheap demo PC's, linux box for granny new linux box for the
kids.

As I'm sure most people have noticed, as the economy has crapped all
over the place, the cost of old, used hardware has climbed. It is the
way things are.

Is Ted's post blatantly commercial? Yes. He is selling them. Is it
related to Linux? They are all currently running Linux, so yes. Does Ted
also need to eat and pay bills and such? I would imagine so since he is
selling a pile of older hardware on a mailing list.

If I can scrape up the $$, I'll buy a couple of the Optiplex boxes for
installation elsewhere as firewall machines. If I had the cash, I'd grab
all of them as I know the machines are reasonable solid, a PIA to work
inside and lousy on WinNT, but pretty good on Linux.
