I'm cheap, so I won't buy an lcd until their price is comparable to
buying a used workstation monitor off ebay. My current main monitor is
an SGI 4011P that I picked up for $25.00 about 6 months ago. The
picture is better than most new PC monitors unless you get above the
$500.00 range. I haven't bought a new monitor since about '93 or '94
and all the used monitors I bought during that time period are still
functioning. I actually have the first VGA monitor I ever bought a
Zenith ZCM-1490 with a flat screen from 1988 which still has a brilliant
picture (although only 640x480).
