So this prompts the ignorant question.  By die, I've assumed it's 
literally part of the cpu not somewhere in the general vicinity?

Point is, my sensor sits on the mb centered under the cpu.

I could see a substantial difference in temperatures between the cpu die 
and the area under the cpu.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
