Seems legit, but you never know. Anyway, I figured I'd forward it..

Certainly unlikely the organization (ALE) has the funds to assist, but
maybe some of you well heeled folks are interested. :)

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?

Dear Business Community Member

Columbia High School was selected as one of the first four
Cisco Networking Academies to be started in DeKalb County during the 2001-2002
school year. Students who are in that original class will complete the four-semester
course work in May 2003. The goal of the Cisco Networking Academy is to provide
academic instructions along with hands-on training using actual computer
networking equipment. At the end of the fourth semester students will be
eligible to receive the distinguished Cisco Certified Networking Associate
(CCNA) certification. A student, who obtains the CCNA certificate is prepared
for entry-level career opportunities in the computer-networking field and may
be eligible to test out of various college level classes. Students can use the
knowledge obtained in class and through experiences to become flexible about
career choices in and out of the computer-networking field.

The purpose of this letter is to ask for your support in
helping us get to San Francisco to visit Cisco House, Silicon Valley and a
Cisco Networking Academy located in the San Francisco area. Students will spend
four days and three nights in San Francisco and gain valuable knowledge and
experience while building lifelong contacts. The cost of this trip for each
student is $700. The students are each raising $350 with candy sales, car
washes and other fundraisers to cover half the cost of the trip. We are asking
your organization<i
style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'> to sponsor one student at $350 or half
the cost of the trip. If this amount is not feasible we ask you to make a
donation in an amount that you feel appropriate. We will thankfully accept any
donation to help us reach our goal.

Thank you in advance for supporting Columbia High School and
the Cisco Networking Program.

Duane T. Sprull

Cisco Academy Coordinator

Columbia High School
