My only experience with usb camera is a logitech which is terribly slow 
and east all kinds of cpu.  If the camera you speak of is v4l compliant, 
it should work with motion.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
