Yes, but what I was commenting on was the fact that using reply-all and
deleting thigns to get to who you really want is additional work, and if
the majority of the cases are to the list, that it makes sense that the
most-used case is the default.

OTOH, if it violates the RFC, then I'll give over :o

of course, that would probably be even better handled if the MLM only set
reply-to in the instances where it wsan't already set (again, defaulting
to mose-common case)

But I use pine & squirrel (and mutt to read annoying attachments at work),
and they both have no problem with the reply-to: set to the list and still
being able to send to the sender &| any CC's by just hitting reply-all

I like it this way, but I have to admit that making it default to user is
nice since the polisci discussions'll go away faster :)

So geoffrey's (sp) option 2 is decent, if the current functionality &
workingness of my mail readers violate RFCs :o
