but i think it is inappropriate for an interviewer to ask you about compensation 
before an interview. <FONT face=Arial

being creative in representing your compensation to a recruiter/potential 
employer.  I'm sure in many cases they aren't going to be 100% honest with 
you about what they really have budgeted for the position, etc.
