[ale] RedHat 8.0 praise

I guess RH didn't want to get into the newly-clouded MP3 patent royalty
issues.

OTOH, FreshRPMs.net has some MP3 add-on packages, as well as some workable
DVD software, specifically compiled for RH8.

But I wonder ... couldn't RH have rebundled the MP3 stuff with the shrink-
wrapped version (i.e., the one that comes with the binary-only Java distro)?
