My normal process as well, but since this is a new install on this box, 
I wanted to go the full gentoo route.  At this point, I don't believe 
this box is even bootable, so I'll stick with the gentoo process until 
it's rebooted.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
