If you're looking for an inexpensive digital camera, I highly recommend
the HP PhotoSmart C200. Of course, I paid about $250 for it, but they can
be had for < $100 on eBay these days. 

Pretty much all of the pictures in the personal gallery on my website were
taken by this camera, if you want to see the results. (Don't let the
640x480 resolution fool you. The camera can take bigger pictures; I lock
them at that resolution so they display nicely in the gallery.)
