[ale] wifi amp

Glen, does the amp have to be directional?  I know basic electronics but 
nothing like RF stuff.  I'm really disappointed with my WiFi 
performance.  Of course I'm also using it from my car 
(http://www.dashpc.com) which is probably not the best application.  Do 
you know of any ways I can increase my WAP signal?  Or is the best way 
to increase WiFi done at the card itself?
