You want our 'Virtual' option set to match what ever video mode you're
running. For example if your default video mode is 800x600 then Virtual
should be set to the same value. This will take care of the 'hidden'
part of your screen. As for your fonts being too small, you probably
want to run a lower video mode. Before you do anything try switching
modes using the 'cntl-alt-plus' and/or 'cntl-alt-minus' key strokes.
This will swap you between your defined modes. You might find a mode
that presents your fonts better and if you're lucky, it'll match your
Virtual setting. If you do find a mode you like, but you still have the
'hidden' screen stuff, you'll need to go in and change your virtual
setting to match your selected mode. Once you find the mode you like
you can use xdpyinfo to figure out the mode you're currently running.
