Been there. Have the T-Shirt. I actually "enjoyed" the experience.
One of the biggest problems was lack of *good* docs. I took careful
notes and have put them up on my website http://www.tqlabs.com.

If you can't get these to work for you, let me know. I would be glad 
to play with one of these machines again.
