[ale] Sound Config - Kernel Compile - Boot Disk Question

Thanks to Jerry & Jim.
The question I have now is:
Which way is better?
a. make zdisk
b. cp /path/to/your/newly/compiled/zImage /dev/fd0
Or is one just as good as the other? Or are their other options?
