I'm kinda searchin for any ideas at this point... My problem is I
have two identical 164SX Alpha systems... One keeps perfect time with the
help of xntpd; however the second has a hard time keepin time if it's life
depend'd on it... and it is almost down to that as I'm already havin to
restart xntpd every 30 minutes just to keep some form of accurate time
since it is the mail server but that causes POP3 runnin out of inetd to
terminate with a "looping" error to syslog... I'm guessin from experience
that is because of the time moving backwards at that time... I've tried
updating MILO and the clock binary...
Any suggestions would be appreciated as this is beginin to get on
my nerves and drive me nuts when the pager lets me know POP service is
down and then back online every 30 minutes...
The systems are both runnin RedHat 5.0 Alpha and currently 2.0.34
kernel as I've not had time to update it... I'm seriously considering
installin Debian if it's stable enough... at this point I'm about ready to
try any reasonable idea...
	Respectfully,
	Jeremy T. Bouse
