Unfortunately, Iñaky Pérez's universal USB driver does not yet support                  
scanners. I understand USB mice work, albeit slowly. The imac keyboard
also functions using the boot protocol. But, alas, not much else.

I myself am eyeing a UMAX usb scanner.
