[ale] Novell 4.1 and Linux 2.0

I've been having problems routing Linux trafic through Novell 4.1.  When I telnet from Linux to an RS6000 ( routed through Novell 4.1 ) it works fine.  Going the other way I only get initial lines you see at the beginning of a telnet session.  You know, the ones that talk about the escape sequence.  ,[3~y[ and I never get a prompt.  Does any body have any ideas?
