Chartering has a number of problems.  It would affiliate us very closely
with Tech, which is not what the _ATLANTA_ LUG is supposed to be.  Also, 
from personal experience with WREK radio, getting money for a computer
from SGA is very near impossible.  It also requires a lot of organization,
like a president, and a lot of responsibility and restrictions.  This is not
what the ALUG should be.  IMHO the ALUG should be independant, without
restrictions and obligation, and without a president and constitution 
and chartered members.  That's not what Linux is about, and that's not how
ALUG should run.
