I recall remarking many years ago after reading some of Isaac Azimov's
essays that it was clear he had a high opinion of Issac Azimov.

unseemly for him to be quite so obviously his own fan.
That made me think of reading Robert Heinlein's essay about his visit to the
Soviet Union. It seemed to me he must have been frothing at the mouth as he
wrote part of it. It made me wonder why he had gone there.

Yep! Glad it's online. Asimov wrote an astonishing variety of non-fiction I
still have the collections of his F&SF essays
