I swore off all Fords years ago after they sold the division where I worked off and took away our cheap, corporate insured, lease cars from benefits.

NVidia never made GPU cards to my knowledge.  They licensed their reference designs and drivers to different manufacturers, retaining control at that level. TSMC makes the actual chips designed by nvidia and provides nvidia with engineering samples.

Without an nvidia license, then the other manufacturers aren't allowed to buy the TSMC chips.

Basically, nvidia is a design and licensing company, not manufacturing.
