Thought this might be of interest to the LUG. You are all invited...

6:30pm CENTRAL Time Wed 9 April - SLUUG general monthly meeting.

*BASE* Topic: "Bash Variable "Scope & Lifetime" Difficulties"
Subtitle: It is 6:30 p.m.. Do you know where your variables are?
Presenter: Ed Howland https://www.sluug.org/bio/Ed_Howland
Bash is both a shell and a full programming language. However, it is quite different from most other programming languages. This tutorial helps you understand one such difference: Variable scopes which is just a high falutin' way of saying: "variable visibility".
How far into a script does a variable continue to exist?

~7:05pm
*MAIN* Topic: What happens in your firewall "when the S*** Hits The Fan?!"
Presenter: Lee Lammert https://www.sluug.org/bio/Lee_Lammert
