[ale] OT: cheap notebook

One thing to keep in mind is that most low-end laptops come with 4GB RAM but it is soldered to the motherboard so it can't be easily replaced.  If the laptop has another memory slot you can add using that, but many don't have such a slot.   They'll run with only 4GB but don't expect speed of any sort.
