I keep all data on the external SD card, then move it to Linux when I want to do file operations. Nothing hidden that way. Full access to the tools. Plus, I like to swap out different music from time to time. I'm not an internet streamer.

ncdu is handy, if you have time. It isn't exactly fast, since it does recursive du's to gather data.

OTOH, cannot say that I've ever attached or resized a photo to an email from a phone. Photo sharing happens later, after removing metadata, cropping, etc. Could be that my $99 phone isn't all that phun to use?
